Roadshows and Workshops
2008 Dates Announced
The HRC has announced the dates for its annual Maori Health Research Roadshow and Writing Workshops for 2008.
The workshops are targeted at community researchers and academic postgraduate students and others to assist with the building of capacity and capability of individual researchers and strengthen the health research workforce.
Workshops will include HRC funding information; application process; planning; ethics process; workforce development; consultation and negotiation with communities; community engagement; partnerships and collaboration; working with the budget and costings; methodologies and dissemination process.
The dates and venues for the roashows and writing workshops for 2008 are as follows:
- 15 – 16 July, Auckland, Sir James Henare Research Centre
- 22 – 23 July, Hamilton, Te Runanga o Kirikiriroa
- 29 – 30 July, Otago, Huia Room, Otago Museum
- 31 July – 1 August, Christchurch, Te Waipounamu
- 5 – 6 August, Wellington, Kokiri Marae Health and Social Services
- 7 – 8 August, Napier/Hastings, Te Kupenga Hauora
- 12 – 13 August, Whangarei, Te Puna o Te Matauranga Marae
- 14 – 15 August, Whakatane, Te Awanuiarangi
- 25 – 26 August, Taranaki, Tui Ora
- 28 – 29 August, Palmerston North, Bernard Chambers A Room, Massey University
